Cookie policy

Effective 23 October 2026 · Last reviewed 23 October 2026 · v1.2

Plain-language summary

Mimi uses authentication cookies from Clerk, our sign-in provider, to keep account holders signed in, browser storage for interface choices, onboarding state and work in progress, and app-scoped iPhone storage for the LAND pocket brief. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or analytics cookies. Because no optional tracking runs on arrival, Mimi does not currently show a consent banner.

1. Cookies and browser storage

A cookie is a small value a site asks your browser to return with later requests. Local storage is a browser-only store that does not travel with each request; session storage is the same, but kept only for one tab. For transparency, this policy covers all three.

2. What Mimi uses

3. What we do not use

Mimi does not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, session replay, browser fingerprinting, or cookies designed to recognize you across unrelated websites. We do not currently run product analytics in the browser.

4. Consent and Global Privacy Control

Strictly necessary cookies are set because they are required to provide the account service you request. The functional values above remember choices or drafts you make in the interface; they are not used to follow you across services. Drafts and the names of what you ran are removed from the browser when you sign out. Mimi does not currently set optional analytics or advertising cookies, so a reject/accept banner would not change what loads on first visit.

We treat Global Privacy Control and similar recognized signals as an opt-out from any future sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or non-essential tracking. None of those activities is currently present.

5. Managing storage

Your browser settings can display, block, or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking the authentication cookies will prevent sign-in. Clearing browser storage removes everything listed above as local or session storage: your interface choices and onboarding progress, the studies and builds being watched, your website test settings and any test still being started, and unsaved study drafts. Signing out removes the drafts, watched studies and website test settings. The LAND pocket brief can be edited to empty in the app and is also cleared by explicit sign-out or account deletion.

6. Changes and contact

We will update this roster before adding a new cookie category. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technology, we will also add consent controls where required.
